24 Mar 2007 - Assistance to rider

The team was quick to respond to assist a rider who fell from her horse on the cycle track near to Dunglass arlir today. Members were involved in the rescue of a sheep when they saw the horse throw its rider on the nearby track. One of the team Paramedics - Danny, assisted by Mike, went to her aid. The sheep rescue was temporarily put on hold.

Luckily the rider's injuries were tenderness and bruising and once her horse was caught she was able to continue on her way. Danny, a former jockey - was well place to deal both with the horse and the rider.
