17 Feb 2007 - Norwegian Rescue

News rrived by text tonight that two of the team's members, on a X-country ski-ing holiday in Norway, had rescued two children lost on a mountain and took them to a village where they were reunited with their parents - will be updated when full details are known.

Updated - 6 March - Gavin and Judith Shaw were x country ski-ing having been away for a couple of days. When heading back to town they came across two Danish children aged 8-10 yrs who had ventured further on their skis than they ought to and had got lost. Despite an obvious language barrier - gestures, etc enabled them to provide some warm drinks and food and led them back to their holiday home and their parents. Good result.
