5 Jul 2008 - Fire Station Open Days, Local Fundraising, WHW Race etc etc

Well, It's been a busy month, so busy in fact that we've had no time to update the website.

News that will be added this week includes:

Fire Station Open days: The team recently attended Bishopbriggs Fire Station Open Day and will be appearing at open days at Dumbarton and Milngavie Fire Stations later in the summer - full deatils will follow;

Local Fundraising: Following the recent tragic death of Robbie McFarlane from Dunblane, the nephew of a team member, the friends and family of Robbie, as well as people from Dunblane and the local area have dug deep and raised several hundreds of pounds for the team - full details will follow;

St Hilary's Primary School, East Kilbride - the dogs and some members put in an appearance at the school's open day earlier in June.

WHW Race - the team, assisted by St Andrews First Aid company from Inverclyde provided safety cover for this year's West Highland Way race yet again! More to follow.

Truckfest 2008 - the team has been asked to attend and display at Truckfest at Ingliston in August, as well as appearing at BASICS Scotland Conference in Aviemore in Sepember.

Sadly - our year;s sponsorship support from Arnold Clark Automobiles comes to an end later this month. The compnay has been fantastic at supporting the team by way of providing the loan of a Mazda BT-2 Crew cab ick up for our exclusive use this past year - more details will follow soon!
